Behavior Test:

Are you and your dog ready for The Pet Dog Program?

*Puppies 16 weeks and younger may start immediately in the puppy classes.*

1. Only do this test if your dog is over 16 weeks and fully vaccinated. DO NOT DO THIS TEST WITH PUPPIES.*
2. And, only do the test if you feel SAFE. If you don’t feel safe doing this test, please let us know and we will get you into the appropriate training package.

  • Step 1 – Read all steps before you try the test.

  • Step 2 – Take your dog to a pet store and bring a big bag of really delicious, high value treats.
  • Step 3 – Make sure your dog knows you have the treats before you go in.
  • Step 4 – Feed constant treats, every 2-5 seconds starting right away as you enter.
  • Step 5 – See if you can keep your dog’s attention focused primarily on you.
  • Take your dog to a pet store and bring a big bag of really delicious, high value treats. Make sure your dog knows you have the treats before you go in
  • If you can keep your dog’s attention you are ready for classes.
  • If you were unable to keep your dog’s attention or he did anything that was embarrassing or scarry email the details of the test or “I do not feel safe doing the test” to [email protected] and we will find the appropriate training package for you and your dog.
3. If you’ve successfully passed this behavior test, you are ready to start class. Click “Book Orientation Now” to get started.
